Memphis, TN (KFMO) - The St. Louis Battlehawks won once again on Sunday, defeating the Memphis Showboats 19-9 to extend their winning streak to 3 games.
The majority of the scoring was done in the first half, with the Battlehawks (5-2) leading at the break 16-6. Both teams were only able to muster up a single field goal in the second half. Memphis (1-6) briefly brought the game back within 7 in the 3rd quarter, before St. Louis added their own field goal in the 4th.
Max Duggan, in his 3rd start for the Battlehawks, completed 15 of 23 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. Jacob Saylors added a touchdown on the ground.
St. Louis is now 5-2, and return to The Dome next week to take on the Birmingham Stallions.
