St. Louis, Mo (KFMO) - The St. Louis Cardinals announced on Tuesday they have dealt right handed pitcher Sonny Gray and $20 million in cash to the Boston Red Sox for pitching prospects Brandon Clarke (BOS No. 5 Prospect), and Richard Fitts. The Cardinals will also receive a player to be named later, or future cash considerations as part of the deal.
Gray, 36, spent the last two seasons with the Cardinals organization and matched a career high with 14 wins in 2025. Gray was 27-17 with the Cards and had a 4.07 earned run average overall with 404 strikeouts.
