Boston, Ma. (KFMO) – The Boston Red Sox swept the St. Louis Cardinals over the weekend to put the Cardinals under .500 for the first time this season.
Cardinal’s pitchers struggled at Fenway Park allowing 35 runs, 46 hits, four homers and walked 20 batters. Erik Fedde lost the series opener on Friday night in three innings of work. Ryan Helsley blew a save in the first of a Sunday doubleheader, and Miles Mikolas allowed nine runs in 2.2 innings on Sunday night in the second game of the doubleheader.
St. Louis (4-5) start a three game series in Pittsburgh Monday night.
