Cardinals Represented in MLB All-Star Week

Philadelphia, Pa. (KFMO) – Three St. Louis Cardinals had success at the 2026 MLB All-Star Week festivities.

Jordan Walker became the first Cardinal, and youngest player ever, to win the MLB Homerun Derby. He hit 12 homeruns in the final round beating Philadelphia’s Kyle Schwarber, who tallied 11 homers in the final round.

Walker reached the semifinals with 10 homeruns in the first round, totaled 28 home runs over three rounds.

The following night in the MLB All-Star Game, Walker, Ivan Herrera, and Riley O’Brien represented the Cardinals for the National League All-Stars. Cardinals skipper Oliver Marmol represented the birds as well. He was on the NL coaching staff under Dodgers manager Dave Roberts.

The AL beat the NL 4-0.

The Cardinals return to action on Friday in Arizona.
